Mr. Markle is a native of Pomeroy, Pennsylvania. He joined one of the Firm's predecessor firm in 1976 and was Shareholder at Hall, Markle, Sickles & Fudala, P.C. before joining Surovell, Jackson, Colten & Dugan, P.C. as a Shareholder in 1996, and becoming a founding Member of the Firm in 2002.
He has received Martindale Hubble's highest rating of AV. Mr. Markle received his B.A. from Washington & Jefferson College in 1964. He received his law degree from the George Washington School of Law National Law Center in 1967, where he was a Member of Phi Delta Phi. Mr. Markle was admitted to both the Virginia Bar and the District of Columbia Bar in 1967.
He is licensed to practice in all Virginia State Courts, all local Courts in the District of Columbia, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Mr. Markle is a Member of the Fairfax Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Markle practices in the areas of Corporate Law, Commercial Litigation, Estate Planning, and Business Planning. He has also received Martindale-Hubbell's top rating of AV.
