Professional Negligence or Medical Malpractice and Legal Malpractice

Medical malpractice

Medic
al malpractice typically refers to personal injury actions or death caused by the negligence of health care professionals. Under Virginia law, awards against "health care professionals" are capped by statute and cannot exceed a fixed amount. Beginning July 1, 2000, this amount is scheduled to increase in small increments over the next several years. Medical malpractice is a very-specialized area of personal injury work that requires an attorney who can grasp the intricacies of the medical profession and present these complex issues to a jury in a coherent, easy-to-understand fashion.

Legal Malpractice

Legal Malpractice can occur many different contexts. However, not all legal malpractice necessarily results in damages that are compensable in a lawsuit. The Firm's attorneys have handled legal malpractice claims from divorces, personal injury cases, medical malpractice matters and other cases.
